Well hello there! I’m glad you stopped by. This is my second time attempting a blog, so it’s officially my second blog post, but the first time around was not the greatest. Second chances are a good thing, right?
Life has a crazy way of putting you in the right place at the right time, doesn’t it. Just when things start to go a little crazy, get a little difficult, a little more than what seems comfortable to handle, you end up in a place that makes the crazy a little less crazy, things get easier and much more comfortable to handle. A while ago, I saw a post about something called a bullet journal and it just struck me, this is what I need in my life. BUT, let me stop right there. What I have found out is that you don’t just decide to start a bullet journal one day. They are actually a lot of work to start. There is planning, research, observation, trial and error – wait, this sounds eerily similar to the scientific method we learned about in school! What the heck?!?!
I’ll briefly explain that I am slightly OCD in my approach to planning and organizing my life. I carry a planner. AND about 10 pens with me. EVERYWHERE! All day! Everyday! I love to write in my planner. Wait, I must write in my planner, otherwise, I’d never be able to keep my life straight. Now, I know, some of you reading this know me and are laughing right now. (I’ll fill the rest of you in real quick). Parts of my life (my planner) are UBER organized. Parts of my life are organized chaos (my desk at work). Parts of my life are just plain chaos (mostly everything else). It’s something I’ve been trying to work on and I have tried and failed, but I keep trying, so at least that’s a plus.
Now, back to a bullet journal. This concept combines a planner, a diary, a life plan, hopes and dreams, quotes, daily feelings, long term plans, short term plans – pretty much everything – into one! My brain is thinking it is in HEAVEN! One place to keep everything! Here comes the BUT – like I said before, they are not easy to create. Yes, create. Since the concept is that each bullet journal is customized to individual, you can’t just buy one at the store (yes, I’ve looked, A LOT!). I am still working on finding the parts and pieces that I want/need in my bullet journal. A work in progress, ever evolving into who knows what. But my much needed calm in the crazy world I call life.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll come back again, every post will be different, but you’ll find common themes or threads. Don’t ask me to label them, I wouldn’t even begin to know how. But you’ll find them. I’d love to read your comments and I’ll do my best to respond to them. Thanks again and have a wonderful today!
